Exchange / Return Policy

At OSRAM-ShopYourLight we strive to make returns as easy as possible. Our mission is to provide you with the best products and the best service in the industry, however we understand there are circumstances that require a product to be returned to us. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item within 14 days of your order. We also offer a 1-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty on all OSRAM P-VIP® lamps and lamp assemblies.

Our goal is to make the return or exchange process trustworthy and as simple as 1-2-3.

  1. 1. Request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) # by filling out our convenient online form (click here) or by contacting our customer service team.
  2. 2. Return the product by following the detailed shipping instructions provided by our customer service team when you receive your RMA#.
  3. 3. Replace your product either by placing a new order for a replacement product while your credit is pending or wait until your return is verified and processed and a replacement is shipped to you.

Non-Defective Product Returns

Examples of non-defective returns include:​​​​​​​

  • Incorrect part ordered
  • Incorrect part received
  • Part is no longer needed

The following rules apply to non-defective returns:

  • Product must be returned within 14 days of your order for our satisfaction guarantee.
  • Products must be in original packaging and in new and resalable condition.
  • Any non-defective product that was used or fully/partially installed is non-returnable.
  • All returns must be made via our Return Procedure and require an RMA# on the return label.
  • Customer is responsible for all return shipping charges and may be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee. Exception to this is made if the return is due to a shipping error.

Procedure for non-defective returns:

  • Complete the convenient online RMA request form or contact our customer service team at (833) 733-0303 or write to [email protected].
  • Follow the detailed shipping instructions provided with your RMA# and please be sure to include your RMA# on the return label. Product that arrives without an RMA# may be refused.
  • Upon receipt of the product to us, please allow up to 7 business days to process your claim and either issue your credit or send you a replacement.
  • If a new lamp or lamp assembly is needed immediately, please place a new order and a credit, rather than an exchange, will be issued once the claim is verified and processed.

Defective, Damaged and Warranty Returns

Examples of defective, damaged or warranty returns include:

  • Product arrives damaged - resulting from shipping and handling. Important: please contact us immediately so that a claim can be filed with the carrier.
  • Product arrives damaged, but does not appear to be the result of shipping and handling
  • Product is properly installed, but does not operate
  • Product has been operating within the equipment, but fails prematurely within the 1-Year Manufacturers Warranty

The following rules apply to defective or warranty returns:

  • For product that arrives damaged from shipping, please contact us immediately to file a claim with the carrier.
  • For non-shipping related damage the product must be returned within 14 days of your order for our satisfaction guarantee.
  • For product that is installed, but will not operate, please first contact our customer service team for potential troubleshooting advice.
  • Product that has been operating, but fails prematurely within the 1-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty can be returned within 365 days of the date of the order. Returned product is subject to review and confirmation of the claim under the warranty policy.
  • All returns must be made via our Return Procedure and require an RMA# on the return label.
  • Customer is responsible for all return shipping charges. Exception to this is made if the product arrived damaged as a result of shipping or packaging and handling.

Procedure for defective and warranty returns:

  • Complete the convenient online RMA request form or contact our customer service team at (833) 733-0303 or write to [email protected].
  • Follow the detailed shipping instructions provided with your RMA# and please be sure to include your RMA# on the return label. Product that arrives without an RMA# may be refused.
  • Please allow up to 30 business days for the processing of all Warranty claims that require in-depth analysis to determine the cause of failure. Once a warranty claim is validated a replacement product will be shipped.
  • If a replacement is needed immediately, please place a new order, and a credit rather than a replacement will be issued once the defective or warranty claim is verified and processed.
